@evilford not that you're wrong but i disagree with you that it got "worse" i mean i know i'm going to sound like a butt-kissing fanboy for saying this but if anything they got more intresting and i say this even though the only album i have by them right now is "Core" which i do love and i'm purely judging from singles and saples here but still.

@YoYoMancusco i think Nevermind,In Utero,MTV Unplugged In New York,And Live In Reading are all slightly better than than what i've heard of The Stone Temple Pilots for as much as i love them. Great album, i like Core a little bit better though.

This smashes Core big time. Core is more focused on heavy rock, but the experimentation mixed with (well crafted) grunge make for a far superior record. Scott also sounds shockingly unique compared to his Vedder-like performance on Core. That album is pretty great too, but this trumps it hard.
