A lot of front page user reviews these days. I guess those are for the albums staff will never care to review.

This is okay. At least it sounds a little more inspired than most radio rock.

"Someone's gotta say it. The review is mediocre at best. Most of us know about Slipknot and Corey Taylor, no need to waste nearly half of the review on them. The other half is generic filler about their new album, with a little flaming of their older stuff."
Well no shit it sounds bad when you say it like that. And exactly, you know about them, so they serve as a comparison of sorts and I wanted to accentuate the correlation between their "image" and their music. I by "flaming" their older stuff I wanted to say they did not repeat their previous mistakes (I myself considered them flaws).
I'm not sure what constitutes as filler, but this are the things I would have liked to have read before hearing this particular album. I guess if you personally find it to be lacking then so be it.
I'm not saying this review is good nor did I ask it to get featured or excpected it to be, but I guess the review was informative enough and the album popular enough that it did. Now I've got just a tiny itsy bitsy feeling some of you are butthurt over me getting a feature, and you should get over it as soon as possible.
...and yes I do realise this comment is longer than the review itself.

I haven't listened yet but heard that 2 things tend to come out of this album:
1. There's too many ballads
2. You end up really wanting a new Slipknot album at the end.

Compared to the last album there arent nearly as many ballads/slow tracks

So many negs what the hell? Not the most informative review but it is in no way bad. Will listen to this eventually I'm sure, Audio Secrecy was alright

Should've been a soundoff. Why waste time writing a review with barely any critiquing?

I just didn't feel the need to go into much detail with this particular album that's all, Stone Sour
are not a complex band,I know it seems a bit short for Sputnik standards, but a lot of professional
reviews (again I'm not saying mine is) aren't 2000 words long

I'll be honest - this shouldn't be a feature.
That's not your fault (since you didn't request it), but it's not very well-written and it's not very informative. I actually did appreciate the Corey Taylor/Slipknot stuff, because I'm not very up on Stone Sour/Slipknot (I actually thoroughly dislike Slipknot and have since I first heard them about 10 years ago). But there was a lot about what this was not]/i] like (Dream Theater and Queensryche) that read as fluff and not a lot about what it [i]was like (less than half a paragraph).
You seem to know what you're doing from a technical standpoint as far as writing is concerned, so I also feel like the handful of technical issues I saw in the review should have come up if you proofread it.
Keep working at it, man. You're not a bad writer.

thanks for the feedback, and I would appreciate if anyone pointed out the technical issues

This is a solid review, and you don't deserve all these negs.
