ShadowAmI, what about Isles felt unoriginal to you?

And dcha, I reviewed a great indie-pop album today and I'll be covering a jazz-tinged dubstep album in the next few days so there's some variety!

I don't remember Submotion Orchestra being dubstep - must be a new style? Huh.

Yeah, man, they're dubstep. It's a much looser style, and it's made much more organically than a lot of the rest of the genre, but it's dubstep for sure. The new album's basslines stand on their own ground a lot more, as opposed to how Finest Hour's blended in with the melodies.

Hahaha. They both begin with S, so they're probably the same group anyways man.

I only listened to it once, but it felt like I had heard everything from it within other prog metal albums

It's definitely a grower, so you may find that you enjoy it the next time you hear it. It worked the opposite way as Cassini for me, which I enjoyed less as time went on.

I didnt know you were into Carl Sagan. Such a brilliant mind. His miniseries, 'The Cosmos'- I love it. Review is great too, man. Will check this out because it seems like my kind of music. Have a POS.

Thanks paperback! =]

You may have heard some faint wubs in Baryogenesis' intro!

Initial impression is that its a good listen, but not as strong as either Cassini or Isles unfortunately.

I agree! Although I was originally more inclined to say Cassini was as good as this, but I definitely think it's better now that I think about it. There were much more memorable rhythms and riffs.

This is actually pretty damn good. Best thing I've heard in a while.
