Led by bipolar madman Devin Townsend, this is the first SYL album he recorded with a full lineup, and it is without a doubt the most bone-breakingly heavy thing I've listened to ever since I got into the genre

I think it's a fine adjective. I think it is your use of "ever since I got" that throws it off. Maybe something like ...after discovering my love for metal. It's not poorly written grammatically, just really reads awkward. Otherwise the review is solid.

Fucking amazing album, and a fitting review. Sometimes I wish Devy would create aural insanity like this again, but I like his music's new direction just as much, and I can just jam this to get my crushingly heavy music fix.
