Haha, highly doubt it. Nick Hipa said before in interviews that Metalcore was dead and that they didn't see themselves as being part of the genre at all. That was like in 2007 or smth, and they still released Metalcore albums after.

Wow they sold it out early, I remember metalcore still being pretty popular until maybe 09, but that's interesting to hear them say that. If it really is hard rock or heavy metal that'd be interesting to hear them play that style, hopefully it'd be their trademark technicality but with clean vocals and slower tempos like Maiden or something.
