Ya i agree you should check out that Catamenia album that's on the front page, if you like these guys first three you'd dig that. Morning Crimson too.

Hawks, why do you not like this as much? I don't see a huge difference between this and anything else they've ever done.
|
| |
This is mounds different than their first three records, but their newer stuff yeah i don't really see much of a difference.
|
| |
Lol are you guys kidding? 3 band members left after this was recorded, it has a much heavier atmosphere and they still use keyboard lines instead of orchestration.... Those are pretty big differences to me
|
| |
This is still written in that mechanical, lifeless heavy pop style they had later on though.
|
| |
Never liked anything I heard off this.

The emphasis is even more on the keyboards this time, but there are no symphonic elements to be found here.
lol wat
|
| |
Yeah I meant that they mimic symphonic elements with the keyboards...
fuck off
Sup sonic

An album that is stuck in between the band's apparent tour de force and the band's shift in sound, this album is what i prefer to their other 90's releases. You can carefully pick out the differences in the band's sound between this and 'Enthrone...', as the production (as well as the more epic song structures) is seemingly more grandiose in comparison. A brilliant album, if only because it is as ambitious as an album can get.
