"I really don't understand why this album got such good reviews"
This is just it, you clearly don't understand their music at all. Not all music is immediately accessible or easy to understand. This album is one of those that is so densely packed with musical ideas that it takes many repeated listens to start to appreciate what they accomplished with this record. Furthermore, the techniques they use for composition are deeply rooted in the classical tradition, which sadly is something that the average music listener just isn't familiar with anymore. So a comment such as this, "but still lacks in songwriting and content", just goes to show that you truly have no understanding or appreciation for the masterful compositional techniques and songwriting skills found through out this album.
You are entitled to your opinion, and certainly don't have to like this album, but if you are going to try and attack it from a songwriting standpoint you are only going to demonstrate ignorance rather than proving a point.
