Much better review technically then your last one - sentences feel smoother and the whole thing flows nicely. Not gonna check the album out though because people have had such mixed reviews. If I liked "Helicopter" though where do I go from there?

I'm probably over-rating it, because this album is a complete mess and the grunge stuff is a misfire, but this does have some killer classic Bloc Party on it. Real Talk, Day Four, and VALIS are three of my favourite songs of the year, and I enjoy a lot of the other ones.

I want to like VALIS and Truth more but they don't go anywhere, like they don't have stellar brides or solos that take the song to that other level like This Modern Love and Blue Light and songs like that have

....god no.

Intimacy is amazing, and I think it's their best work. I honestly thought they'd keep going in that direction. Doesn't even sound worth a listen.

It's the most overused three notes ever that I've heard done way better before

The album finisher "We're Not Good People" is another one of those really boring heavy power chord songs that sounds like it should be on a Nickelback album or something

this is so obviously just thrown in there to insult the band. seriously, a 'heavy power chord song' in the vain of nickelback? not even close.
