Hmm, should check this out. Mammoth was good.

Enjoyed the preview. Vocals were okay, but nothing great. At least what I got from the preview anyway. Interested in hearing the full album.

Good to see that some (relatively) new users are willing to check this out. Mammoth was also in my top 10 of 2011.

people should listen to this band just because of the name

Vocals are what keep me from really liking this. I just don't like the phrasing. It's good though. I'm definitely going to keep on listening for a few days and let it soak in.
Great review, thank you.

I know what you mean. Erratic, sudden type phrasing at times. I'm still getting used to it after 4 years of listening to them.
BTW why does "The Sane Day" ( 2006, 2 disc ) get no respect?

There are some great tracks on that one like The Gooberville Ballroom Dancer.

didn't like mammoth much (sounds like every other prog rock band), prob will pass on this.

Yeah. I don't think you'd like this if you weren't very fond of Mammoth. I don't agree they sound like every other prog rock band working today. They've always reminded me of Gentle Giant though.
