"So Hitler what you are saying is that you don't know what it means, thanks for the clarification."

I don't get how people are rating this 3.5 or better...

You are out of your fucking mind if you think this is better than HRP. Its not even in the same stratosphere. Back then they were young and cool, now theyre old and trying too hard. As such they fail horribly. I can't imagine how much worse they will get from here..

Planet of Ice is pretty classic. If you don't enjoy planet of ice there is no saving you. That said they never claimed to be more than a 1 note band.

"partybrorock version of MtB"

Sadly, this makes a lot of sense if you're trying to describe their sound from Omni on.
I don't even know if I could listen to this. To this day, I can't get through all of Omni in one sitting but I can breeze through their first three LP's whenever I want. Omni was alright, yeah, but compared to their previous work, it's very, very bland.

I feel like this DOES have to be compared to their previous albums because it's both somewhat a return to form and a continued regression.

Yeah it's "standard fare" for the partybrorock version of MtB. Album blows.

spot on.

I personally enjoyed, for the most part, listening to OMNI. It was a different direction for the band but it still gave off that chill minus the bear vibe. This album sounds so indie pop, it just isn't the minus the bear that I've loved for the past 6 years of my life.

omni is better by a pretty large margin imo, but their best albums are the first 3.

I honestly haven't loved or disliked anything these guys have done. I remember being bored to tears by Menos el Oso, but maybe I wasn't in the right mood.

I'll give it another shot. I think the songwriting bothered me, but I'm a picky little bitch so perhaps it'll grow on me.

It's a grower. Say what you will about whether you like proggy MTB, pop MTB or both, this album melds both together really well despite the obvious flaws.

http://www.7bitarcade.com/music/article/minus-the-bear-infinity-overhead/ hands down best review I've seen yet
