Fantastic review! It does a great job of explaining what has changed in the two years since last album.



I listen while I read the review and I am enjoying it very much. I still enjoy Blue Sky Noise better but this is still very good. Green's vocals on the first track had me a little jumpy, but they smoothed out very quickly. a solid 4 right now.

Heartily disagree that not having any fast/blunt/to-the-point songs weakens this album as a whole. I personally, love this album because of the fact that it doesn't have the full adrenaline songs of BSN. One can only be juiced for so long at a time. This is so soothing and if you are actually listening the mellow parts all do feel necessary and interesting and fitting, instead of droll and simply repeating for the sake of repeating.

i feel like this album is like the show The Wire. it's doesn't use cheap thrills and quick moving action, rather hinges on intelligence and shear beauty to be fucking fantastic

This sounds a lot like their older stuff, but with a real small twist. I like it.

I kind of saw the direction of this album coming. It sounds like a mix of Blue Sky Noise's conventional approach, and Appenadage's vocal work, and use of atmosphere similar, but not the same as Juturna. A great idea on paper, but I'm surprised by how underwhelming this was. the opening track and The Lottery were great, though. Fantastic even.
