clever summary and a good review to boot.
album runs into a handful of big problems for me, and they are: 1) it's too formulaic, 2) it all starts to sound kind of samey, 3) the vocals are a little dull and monotonous at points, 4) the guitar solos seem a little self-indulgent, and 5) it's a little long for its own good, and i only really say that because of the lack of variance. all of that said, however, the production is great and the composition of the tracks is masterful, i just find it all bleeding together in a monochromatic way. might seem a little harsh, but take it as you will. it's good, no doubt about it, i just don't know how good yet.

Pretty excellent cover art, will check out your work even though I usually can't stand prog but there's always exceptions, by the way why Trvth?

The range is perfect for this kind of music - it's what Mikael Aderfeldt does with Opeth's more melodic tunes, and it works very well there. It's just your voice going out of pitch, being too at the forefront, etc. I can't listen to too much of this because the vocals are just too distracting for me - like, halfway through the first track they're so unbelievably off-pitch that I just can't listen to it. The music is really cool, and I wish I could focus on it. Have you done any instrumental stuff?

instrumentally good, vocals are nearly unlistenable

And this is the reason why I adore this community, this also further shows why Paperback should be a contributor. Pos.
