ah, yes that makes sense Phero - I thought you were just a knowledgeable being and I guess you are not opposed to a little bit of snarky sarc
early BH is noise rock / post-hxc, a very different sound to their dream pop days (only discovered this recently myself as I dived straight into the debut after Misery / 23 a few months back and it was a bit of a shocking revelation, lol)

I know you explicitly said you don't care, but this is not it
I do enjoy this, but for me they really found their calling later on. Then again, it's hard comparing this era to Misery or 23. Different strokes etc.

This is growing on me, slowly. It was already rather good
It's certainly a significant upgrade on their previous efforts, perhaps less compelling overall than 'Inexpressible' but not far away
really digging the Bipolar / Pier Paolo combo at the minute
thinking some hidden depth may emerge. Water maybe? The closer works well. The obvious hit is Symphony, which is still going strong

I'm a sucker for the percussion in Bipolar, it works so well with the guitar being out of tune and Kazu's high-pitched voice. Instant goosebumps.

yeah, it's lit!
we now have a two-way deathmatch between this an 'Inexpressible' for the right to be my 5th x BR 4. Not many artists have managed such heady heights

rhythm section on this thing is insane

shiiiit I'm bumping this to 4.5, there really isn't a bad song on it (although Symphony does lean towards the boring side a bit)

Symphony is uh very clearly the best song on this to me, but they're all bangers ig

Symphony is certainly tops, or close to it anyway. I still the love Bipolar / Pier Pablo combo tho. Water is a sneaky pick. The closer is fantastic too. This is more consistent than I remember.
Is it lawful to have 5 x BR 4s (and no 4.5s / 1 x 5.0?)
yeah, lets go! ... can decide whether I'm finally obtuse / cool(?) enough to bump "Inexpressible" later (seriously would consider) and skip doing the obvious by promoting "Misery" instead
