I prefer The Velvet Rope to Control thus far, the latter couldn’t quite shed those cheesy 80s dance pop vibes for me. It definitely did well considering, but guess I really am a 90s boi in music terms (makes sense tbf)

Drifter that remix fuckin slaps. Huge sucker for guitar in house tracks and the drums compliment it so well. Gonna have to rinse this out next time I play a party lol
Demon, I think The Velvet Rope is her best album experience but Control is an easy 5. I'm definitely biased tho cuz I love the new jack swing era of R&B and I consider it to be the good kind of cheesy. I think you'd probably prefer Rhythm Nation over it
