I wanna check this

I'm sorry Sobhi but this is one of your lesser pieces
I mean I haven't heard this but the review is so incredibly vague I could have just read an article on how the genres you mentioned sound and I'd still have more information on this record...

reverb = my bloody valentine
heres my review!

i think you're missing the point of how this site functions for people reading reviews. it's not www.ultimatedroneslowcore.com where people are coming for in depth analysis and comparisons to bands no one else knows. the key to being a source for a wide audience is discussion in relate-able terms and ideas. i described how the record sounds and why i liked it, which is what i want people reading this to know.
i could write hundreds of pages on El-P's music and its impact on modern production/ hip-hop in general. i could also dive into specific comparisons to techniques used on his obscure mixtapes or similar progressive producers (there are none). if you're reading articles on drone music then you probably dont need to be reading reviews by semi-mainstream indie publications.

Turns out this is quite the enjoyable piece of music

I don't understand why you can't just admit to having written a bad review. What's wrong with your review is that it's obvious that you don't listen to a lot of drone/slow-core so you can't really explain what sets this particular album apart from the genre in general.

Review told me everything I needed to know. People are just bitching for the sake of it.
Anyhow, I quite like this here album.

Album Rating: 4.0
i dont think so. honestly i dont even like most drone or slowcore, but for some reason combining them is incredible.
also, wrong rating

Album Rating: 5.0 | Sound Off
it has more in common with free improv and jazz than slowcore
also all their other albums are 4-4.5/5 and this is their best imo
|
| |
this isn't slowcore wtf LOL

Album Rating: 3.5
this is pretty solid.
but:
The record is washed in enough echo and reverb to rival My Bloody Valentine
fundamentally different kinds of fuzz homie. MBV is all guitars with no production effects. This shit is washed in prod-board reverb and kind of just meanders about.
just a point of reference really; in the end everything I just said is opinions, opinions, opinions

haha, true.
can't get much more in your face than MBV when concerning shoegaze.
this is perfect nap music.
so basically Rudy wouldn't like it
