I was expecting some more dynamic songwriting. I don't feel like any song on this album justifies more than a four- or five-minute run time. And I don't feel like Alex utilizes his chops on guitar as effectively as he used to. I mean, most of the album just kind of plods along with power chords.

In this one of many possible worlds

All for the best, somethings are test

It is what it is and whatever

Time is still the infinite jest

The arrow flies when you dream

The hours tick away

The cells tick away

Watchmaker keep to his schemes

The hours tick away

They tick away

The measure of a life is a measure of love and respect

So hard to earn so easily burned

In the fullness of time

A garden to nurture and protect

The solos on here really aren't anything special. Really, they seem kind of phoned in. Like, give me the solo on The Body Electric over The Garden any day of the week.
