Review was really good, you made your points well. I agree completely, there were moments on this album that I just loved, but a lot of the song structures were awkward. Getting through the whole album becomes a task rather than an enjoyable experience. But hey the album art is sick so at least there's that. Oh and pos.

What do I need to know about maintaining momentum? If I'm listening to a song and it is obviously building towards something and then it suddenly drops the entire feel then that is momentum killing. It would be like masturbating and having your mom walk into the room. Some, like you, might feel that her presence isn't momentum killing at all, while others would definitely 'lose the moment'.

I see your point, but bands like them and Mr. Bungle aren't really trying to build towards making Epic tracks. Their schtick is the crazy chaos, but this album feels more like they're trying to integrate all of their ideas into a focused, epic, attempt at something grandiose but it never gets there.

Also, considering that most public (including metal fans) don't like funeral doom, I'm going to have to say that there were very few people to impress.
