Looks like that was taken from AllMusic. Can't say I agree with much of it. The band were actually one of the most creative blues rock bands of their era.

Good plan to start with Thank Christ... and then move on to this?

Yeah that's probably the best the way to go. This is definitely better IMO but Thank Christ... would probably serve as a better introduction to the band as it's easier to get into.

Great review Jamie, pos. Who and why negged this?

Thanks dude. I think skele troll negged a couple of my reviews, not sure why.

Only a 3.5? I would have thought you would have loved this, although 3.5 is obviously still a great score, I'm just a bit of a fanboy when it comes to this band.

Yeah it's a great album, a high 3.5 maybe 4. Some production issues and some parts of the second half that weren't are great as the first half had an impact on the rating.

Apart from that, I'll never understand the whole mentality of alternative alts, trolling, negging for no apparent reason and stuff like that...

Fair enough, I agree that the second half isn't as strong as the first but it's grown on me over time and now I love every track. I've also grown quite fond of the production but I can see why it might be a weak point for some.

Yeah me neither.

Been a real grower for me this album. Left it alone after 5/6 listens for a couple of months (wasn't especially taken by it) and gone back to it, and absolutely loving it now.

Been spinning the two Cream albums I own a lot recently (Disraeli Gears, Wheels of Fire) and this is definitely in the same vein as those.

Yeah this one is definitely a grower. Thank Christ for the Bomb is easier to get into but I feel that this one is more rewarding once you've given it time. Glad you're digging it.

Yeah these guys have some strong similarities to Cream but they have enough creativity to separate them from other Cream-influenced power trios of their era.
