Omg no Willie it's the 5th TDTP album

"Over the course of the full record, there's sort of new agey stuff, jazzy stuff, really heavy stuff.
We basically cover the gamut. Epicloud is the first record that I felt confident enough to include all
those things on one record so it goes between melodic hard rock to schizophrenic heavy metal to
country to really ambient stuff and it's all in one place. I'm using a gospel choir, a string section
and a horn section for this one as well."

Could be awesome or might finally learn his limitations.

"I’m very rapidly realizing that humor and metal… it doesn’t really work."

Since I've been doing a lot of the 'behind the scenes' stuff for the site, I've lost track a little bit.

Thank you, Deviant. I think he said that when talking about not making a Ziltoid 2. Which is good, since Ziltoid was pretty much the worst thing he's made.

Devin's obviously not spent much time listening to power/folk metal if he thinks that metal and humor can't mix well.

"So I put fart samples all over it and I’ve gotten endless shit for that. It’s like, “You ruined the record with that.” I’m like, “What are you talking about? The guy’s purging himself! He’s taking a shit. Fart jokes are funny! What?” It kinda bummed me out ’cause I had all these people saying it’s juvenile humor. Like, “After all we’ve been waiting for, you ruin the album with farting?” I shouldn’t be paying attention, but it was an onslaught."

-- Townsend

Did the fart samples annoy anyone else? Outside of the beginning skit on the title track, I don't even really remember farts being used, so they never really bothered me.
