"Bastard Son of God" , "Stillborn" & "The ascension" are very weak tracks (agreed) but all the other tracks are awesome.

I am no fan of old school death metal. I usually prefer more technical and melodic death, but I have to say this album blew away my existing opinion of pure death metal. Eaten is the best death metal song I have ever heard, and this is including all technical and melodic death songs I have listened to.
