I like listening to this album in the same way that I enjoy watching transformers battle each other

I love this album a lot but I could never dance to any of these songs.

Wh – really?

I honestly don't find this record to be that "intimidating", per se, just downright filthy. I love it for its sheer excess.

I'm a dancer and yeah I definitely couldn't; not in a coordinated way at least.

I love the boo samples from Super Mario 64 in Top 1%

Did you just call Cross a trance album?

No, not at all

And TM perfectly summed up everything else

I'm just surprised that someone who actively DJ's is complaining about dance music being repetitive. It's repetitive for a very good reason: so people can dance to it

What kind of dancing are people doing to Huoratron? Very curious.

Electro moshing most likely

I guess if you consider moshing a form of dance I could see it...

I couldn't play that though, and that's my issue with it.

bloc's reaction honestly sums up the local scene's appreciation of music that sounds like this; the crowd wouldn't take it.

TM did a great job of voicing his opinion, and I'll try to break down my thought process more:

You mentioned subtleties in the tracks, and yes indeed there are many. Many of the club goers won't hear that though; the average age of the clubber here, in my town, is around 21 or so. They WON'T care about the intricacies it took to make something different from the norm.

there's always something new happening

This is a good point as well, the issue being none of the new things happening really do much. Case in point it, again, bloc's reaction to the opening track. He's not even some random club-goer either, he's quite knowledgeable about music. New themes and the like are great IF the listener can distinguish them, and to me this makes the album less about dancing and more about trying to figure out where each track is going to go.

Aaaaand you lost me.

Deviant says quite plainly: "Even when he misfires with the dubstep-fuelled ‘Sea Of Meat’"

I was referring the the wobbles in this track, as they are something many a producer in my town attempts.

In complete honesty I was looking at this as I would any new music that I might spin, and it came up short. There are places for it, indeed it's be great to have a club dedicated to music such as this, but that club is not mine nor is it located in my town.

So wait, what do you and what kind of music do the clubs in your area typically play?

On Tuesday's I can do anything I want, technically it's an industrial night but I often due drum and
bass, or music in the vein of Digitalism or The Presets. Occasionally we have our trance days as
well, those are always fun.

This album would work for that, but Tuesday's never have a large crowd unless something special is
going on. I get a monthly/bimonthly vocal remix night, normally dubstep or drum and bass though I
can do house just as easily. I was looking at this album in regards to that night, as it has the
larger crowd.

Most clubs here can be broken down into four categories:

Dubstep
Small Crowd (they can be playing anything at all, but the crowd is never past 50 people)
College Night (top 40, popular jams, etc)
House (mostly held by the gay club in town)
