Except for Catharsis and Celestial everything here is done better by TesseracT.

Albums growing on me though, but I doubt I'll ever give this a rating higher then 3.5

The Friedman solo on Catharsis is sweet stuff. I wish he was featured more on this album.

Agreed with the rating though. If the rating ever does go up, probably won't be any more than a 3.5.

Loving the melodic feel to this album, a solid 3.5 - 4. Catharthis and Maeva are definitely up there.

I've only managed to get through it twice, but it's a huge snoozefest for me. Tompkins doesn't really contribute anything interesting, and, while the musical talent is undeniable, the songs are just boring. It's nothing I haven't already heard in a better implementation (Chimp Spanner, Cloudkicker, Tesseract, etc). There just doesn't seem to be much in the way of memorable moments or redeeming long-term qualities.

Half a song in and this blows Tesseract away.

All songs are decent, nothing just is mindblowing (except for catharsis, which is one damn good song)
