Honestly, that review kinda aggravated me as well (as you can probably remember)
The saddest part about being human is that you have those annoying emotions that constantly get in your way I guess

I'm done with these dudes. I still spin their EPs but that's it. Shame, too. They used to be top notch math rock and now they just sound like Vampire Weekend b-sides.

word
Tyr you know I like you but you propagate as much bullshit immaturity on this site as anyone does. come on now.

yea i thought the review was kinda funny. not worthy of a shitstorm anyway
|
| |
Yep
As I said, I regret being such an emotional fuckhead
|
| |
I kind of like Vampire Weekend though
(go easy on me)
|
| |
I've seen them live a few times and they were pretty good
never heard any of their albums tho
|

yeah but gyro. I like the guy but shitstorms seem to follow him around this place.

lol vampire weekend wishes they could make an album this good.
and i am still kinda clueless how any open-minded person could prefer their EPs over this. the technically on T,S,H was impressive, yeah, and the EP as a whole was fairly addicting, but songwriting-wise it was definitely lacking.

Album Rating: 4.5 | Sound Off
This album needs more hype and less hate. It's absolutely great. If M & A were still releasing variations of H,T,S I'd honestly be incredibly bored by now. This band refuses to sit still, they have too many good ideas and too many beautiful ways of doing what they do.
Good review, a little short. I agree wholeheartedly about switching the opener and closer. The ending of Old & Gray is real heartfelt, but ultimately out of place I feel like..

no more remote and dark years

I'm listening to this now and it's good
|

Just finished listening to their EPs today because I've only ever heard their albums.
How come their EPs are so much better than their albums? It's the same band...
Their albums are good, don't get me wrong but their EPs are incredible.

tree swallows houses is the best thing this band has done by far
