"People rather be immersed in what they're listening to rather than merely entertained. Seeking atmosphere in theory, would provide a better listening session that opposed to just repeating the same part over and over again. This is not the case with this album, as it is multilayered repition, which adds a whole new level of sophistication."
i dont understand what you're saying here except that this album is multilayered and sophisticated

I am saying that atmosphere is the more desired trait. You got the final part of my statement though, in that this album is something special because it is a sophisicated breed of repition.
I was tying that statement into the arguement about atmosphere and repeition overall, because I thought that was what the person I was quoting refered to.
If it still sounds like i'm talking out of my ass, I don't know what to tell you. I can try to put a megaphone against it in an attempt to make it clearer.

It's not so much repetition as the return to repetition that really seems to work.

Yeah Aphex Twin doesn't know how to do anything properly, even though almost every electronic artist of the last 20 years sites AT as a major influence...

"Well it wouldn't be repetition if he didn't return to it..."
Though different from straight repetition: tape-loops etc. More like rhythmic variations on the verse/chorus structure.

And yeh, Baseline - you should give it another spin. It's probably the worst thing I have 5'd, but I still love it.

Base just likes to stir the pot. She's a devoted wife in that regard, but she's also a silly bitch
And stranger: when we talk about repetition we're talking about loops

I know, that's why I differentiated.
|

Well yeah, a lot of repitition in electronic music involves loops
|

Repetitive or not ,this album is excellent and nobody can deny it
