er yeah, it was released in '87 and i do understand the point you're trying to make but all of ND's full lengths (all 17 of them) are all post 1985. If you wanted to talk about people who disregard modern releases a better year to choose would probably be post 1990 since the 90's pretty much saw the end of metal

I respect what you are saying Wizard, but Ive been listening to Napalm for just as long as you and have had this album for well over a week (I write for a another website and was sent this). I've taken the album in with repeated listens, and this is what I think, no matter what people think of me as a result, as a noob or whatever. I think my point was more about how, even so long into their career, they are still continuing to switch things up and experiment with different elements. I do get your point about FED, mabye I should have stated the more deathgrind direction they were beginning to take. But its cool dude, thanks for the comment and the pos.

Thank you for not being a complete doorknob and twisting my wording. Sorry I misjudged your knowledge on the band as well.

Yeah Napalm is scarily consistent and able to pump out great songs, and this album does have a different feel to it than previous Napalm works. Like Everyday Pox and The Wolf I Feed. I'm not sure what this may mean for the future but I was definitely thrown off by what they did.

their albums are taking longer to churn out...not a bad thing but not surprisingly suggests they're running out of ideas. still, i'd prefer one good album every 3 years, then the same old shit pumped out every year

this is pretty good. the opening riff on strong arm and the wolf i feed are almost identical though.

Nice to see someome mentioning that Fear Emptiness Despair is a genre defining record! I had high expectations for this album, thus my low scoring...I was expecting even more experimentation from Napalm Death on this album.
