Yeh this album is really good after a couple of listens, it showcases just what Rich can do with just a piano. Also, 54 cymru beats takes all the distorted sounds from windowlicker and the beats of start as you mean to go on combined with the voices of (equation) and produces a masterpiece. Plus i'm from wales.

As soon as I started listening to this album, I new I was in for yet another surprise from Richard. I still haven't stopped listening to it. I love it! My favourite Aphex album so far. You really have to try and get into the mind of Richard D. James to understand this album. His style is limitless, there are no boundries. I don't think I'll ever understand Aphex Twin. I can only keep getting closer...

I'm a huge Aphex Twin fan but this album is terrible, I can't really listen to any of it, even the softer tracks. It is a bit inventive which is why I haven't given it a completely terrible rating but it's pretty shocking.
Richard D. James actually said in a recent interview (when he released his AFX album) that he intentionally made it appalling to put off newcomers to his music because he didn't like all the popularity he was getting after Windowlicker EP. Then again, he says a lot of things in his interviews.

It realy is underrated, it has things he never normaly does on his albums, much less of the in your face oddness, that's good too, but this is a much more subtle album, especialy in songs like jynweythek.
