yeah bro that's his most accesible i would say. The Black SAint and the sinner lady is his defining statement or whatever. His early albums were more aggressive, but then he started exploring melodys and spoken word etc. He really has an amazing discography, I think youll like him

good call on The Chill of Death, it's an awesome track and Let My Children Hear Music is his most underrated album. i like it as much as black saint some days

Once my friend ever said to me that Mingus is a great jazz player, well, this album is a good start, right? And btw, who is your favorite jazz guitar player?

mingus has a great discog which you should dive into but this album is probably not a good place to start becuase of it's use of metaphorical songwriting and quirkiness. I would start with "the black saint and the sinner lady" it is generally regarded as one of the best albums ever.
about jazz guitar... well mclaughlin has made the best music, but in terms of sheer technicality, JOE PASS is more skilled. check out his album "Virtuoso" if you want lovely and mindblowing guitar. it's just him going ham with no other instruments

this album is heavily based iff symbolism

joe pass is a monster player but mclaughlin makes better music so it depends upon preference
also this was the first review i've ever written so i'm a little unconfident in the structuring....any critique that will make my writing better?
|
| |
Thanks, surely I will check it out. About Joe Pass' Virtuso, it's my jamz, I even wrote a sound-off for it, that guy was a legend!

that album is stunning, I'm glad you liked....how do you feel about the review any critique

"how do you feel about the review any critique"
Your review is great I guess, at least it successfully made me interested to hear this album. I have
no critique upon your writing style or such, perhaps I'm not a credible person for that. I myself
actually don't write high-quality reviews (you can say it below-average) because whenever I write a
review I will always deal with wording, grammar rules, etc., (English isn't my 1st language, btw). My
only concern is to share a good music to fellow Sputnik users... I hope you will share and review
many good jazz stuffs in future :D
