Yeah, I suppose you're right. It's a tough balancing act; at least it came out relatively enjoyable

Surprised to see this here, but anyways... Actually, it's surprising that I even like some form of dubstep. These are really good remixes of Ocarina of Time's OST.

| |
Yeah, it's fine balance between homages to nostalgia and little fits of innovation

omg i can't believe someone reviewed this
fuck i've had this for months.
|
| |
:3 it's pretty damn cool. Would you agree?
|
| |
oh yeah, i actually got my dj buddy to play the forest jam at a pesudo-rave we had at our school. it's pretty sweet
|
| |
You guys play shit other than Skrillex and LMFAO? Jealous
I went to the Valentine's Day Ball at college, and was grinding a girl to Skrillex but I got a boner. Coincidentally, she had to leave soon afterwards.
|
| |
'coincidentally' lmao
yeah i mean, the whole thing was set up by the dj. it wasn't sponsored by the school at all except for the whole non-alcoholic thing. he was mixing pendulum, deadmau5, and a bunch of other good shit
|
| |
Oh god, that sounds so much better than what happens around my campus.
Have you ever experimented with making/mixing music?
|
| |
experimented, yes. been successful? lol. i'm working with a beat maker who's really into hip hop and he's teaching me fruityloops.
but i guess i KINDA know what i'm doing with virtualdj?
|
| |
FruityLoops is awesome, man. Might get it soon.
I want to make really beautiful ambient electronic stuff, but am not quite sure what software would be best for that. I don't really know where would be best for me to start, would you have any ideas?
|
| |
i mean, i've made stuff that sounds like that just tinkering around with garageband. you just have to look at the keyboard input for the piano-type instruments and alter the output with heavy reverb or w/e.
i'm no expert on this, but just fucking around with a program like garageband can teach you more than you can learn by reading. trial and error man

The Song of Storms and Lost Woods remixes still go so hard
|
| |
i remember someone used lost woods on a youtube video a while back so in response to someone asking for the song title, i said "its called song of storms" and proceeded to get my asshole stretched so wide i'd get momentarily stuck every time i tried to get off my bicycle for the next three weeks.
but yea, used to jam this thing a lot. really fun stuff.

I remember listening to the Lost Woods remix every day my junior year of high school, good times
