Also, I'm sorry if I made it seem like the review is marred by the points I addressed, it had just seemed like it was one of those 'It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be' moments. But you're right, you presented your arguments very nicely throughout the rest of the review and I can see why you wouldn't like this in the end. After having heard it twice, I think a 3-3.5 seems about right (for me) -- probably the former.

Yes, the album is a bit of a disappointment, but that's only because of how amazing her previous albums were. It's hard not to compare them, I know, but this is still a good album. The opening and closing tracks are my favourites. I plan on spinning this album many more times and I'm sure that my rating will rise.

I enjoyed it because I think her vocal range is the best yet, and for me, the experiments work. It sounded fresh to me, not disappointing. Takes a couple listens to really warm up to.

The only time I found that "Human Again" was a relevant title was when the quality of the album began to pick up around "Ghost". The rest of the album sounds kind of plastic and boring. Which is a shame, really. I was hoping to hear more "bop bop badadada" like in "Parachute". Man, I loved that song.

Quite enjoyed it record. Might delve back into the others since all I've heard from them is Soldier.
