I think this band comes off a little pretentious at first with the song titles and such, but when you learn a little more, everything seems so heartfelt. Everything seems very genuine. Interesting to hear about the dog, Wanda. I think you probably got some negs, because you didn't really cover what listeners should expect. ADHD or not, you felt the review, and I liked it.

I'm not a staff reviewer for a very good reason... maybe someone like Deviant could give you better advice?
There are a lot of things that I liked about your review 1) that you cared about the band and what it was that you were talking about 2) I liked that you shared a bit of the story behind these songs. The more listeners know about the music, the more rewarding the experience is. 3) I liked that you had a clear thesis statement, namely that efrim is the center-piece/mastermind of this band. That has been true to my experience as well.
What I didn't like 1) You start out the body of the review describing every little detail, like a person would in a track by track review, and then you sort of end the review by careening off into another direction, not that that direction was bad, but it was clearly different than the direction in which you started. 2) I would like a better sense of what is good and bad about this album. Clearly, it's not all good, is it? If it is, then you should tell me that OUTFRONT. No dancing around. This review had lots of dancing around.
That's my two cents. I try to give criticism sandwiched in between two pieces of praise. Hope that helps. The best way to improve your reviewing is by reviewing LOTS. Also, proofreading. Proofreading, when you become good at it amounts to self-criticism. Once you are able to effectively criticize yourself, then you will receive less criticism from others.
Having said all that, I think that you did a very nice job with the review. I enjoyed reading it, because I am also a huge fan of this band! Cheers

having and using more than one profile on here regularly must be a result of either a complete lack of self-esteem, or lack of life, or both
