"How do you say "Lulu was a failure on nearly all levels," then give it a 3.5 and say you're going to continue to revisit it? So paradoxical and makes no sense."
I embrace the flaws, because the whole thing is such a confusing bastardization of what an album should be. That fact compels me to listen again, as I believe there's something unique beneath it all worth the 87 minutes. Sure, just because it sounds "different" doesn't necessarily grant it being a great album (in most cases, it doesn't), but in the case of Lulu I believe it does.
