This review has good prose, but it is so thoroughly and utterly wrong. I think anyone would be hard pressed to argue that Meteora isn't Hybrid Theory Part II.

Nah, Meteora was a departure in many ways. People were surprised. It might not seem like that big of a change in retrospect after the complete transformation they underwent on Minutes to Midnight, but they incorporated a lot of new elements and took a lot of risks on this album. The songwriting overall was on a different level too.
Hybrid Theory sounds very dated today and is the real guilty pleasure. The quality of this one still holds up, imo.
