Their first five are pretty solid. My favorites are this one, Grand Funk and E Pluribus Funk but I have to jam them again to select one.

Grand Funk will always be about their epics, Closer to Home, The Railroad, Creepin', Loneliness, their shorter songs aren't that cool though

I'd dare to say these guys were among the most talented musical trios ever, if they just weren't that inconsistent in their albums...

Underappreciated album. Thing is kind of heavy for it's time.

i have to get a better turntable, the one i have is close to entry level plus the album itself is very old so the sound quality has diminished

Am I in my cabin dreaming?
Or are you really scheming
To take my ship away from me?
You'd better think about it
I just can't live without it
So please don't take my ship from me
Yeah, yeah, yeah

First five albums are all great and then they released another five that were mediocre. The problems began when they stopped being a trio. As long as one focuses on the first five, it's all good. Even Good Singin', Good Playin' is a solid album and the band was finished by then.

All great band/artists for sure. If I had to make a top 5 from the above it would probably be something like Fun House > Closer to Home > Killer > Kick Out the Jams > Night Moves
