Rosa: You're listening to pop songs from a love-struck girl and you expect the lyrics to not be a little cheesy? Whatever man, agree to disagree -- I find her incredibly charming =D

She's amazing at what she does
If you are judging her for how metal she is, yeah she might fall short of expectations
|
| |
yer just jealous that the guys want sexual favors from her and not you ;)
|
| |
who cares about her lyrics shes a country-pop crossover star... lyrics are inconsequential
she sucks ass because there is absolutely NOTHING genuine in her music and it sure as shit isn't catchy or fun enough to make up for that.
she's a fucking wonder bread and barbecue sauce sandwich.
|
| |
I'd eat that sandwich

Presumptuous comment with no grounding.

I said that because you were attacking the style of music she makes, which based on how much you said you hate it, it suggests you would listen to something wildly opposite
And you are entitled to your opinion that she is bad, but I'd appreciate an explanation as to why I'm not entitled to my opinion that she is good

Presumptuous comment with no grounding.
five words of meaningless bullshit

How can you say there's nothing genuine about her music? Can you give any examples? You don't have to like it, but you also don't have to make stupidly bold claims like that.
|
| |
Way to quote Vanessa Carlton Rosa
|

How can you say there's nothing genuine about Nickelback's music or Tokio Hotel's?
You just can. You can hear it on the record. It's just so schlocky and pubescent that it all bleeds together into one perfectly marketable, neat little pile of fucks i don't give.
|
| |
In a way, though, isn't that genuine stuff for a 20-year-old to write? She's a junior in college really; should we expect abject maturity from all of the college girls out there too?
|
| |
Because Nickelback have openly admitted that they don't take their music seriously and it's meant to just be rock for the masses. So it's obviously not meant to be 'genuine'. I get what you're saying, because yeah, the songs are poppy as hell, but it doesn't ever really come off as manufactured to me.
|
| |
insert a really misogynistic sexual comment about her here
|
| |
should we expect abject maturity from all of the college girls out there too?
there are plenty of young, talented females out there that pull it off really well

even if thats true: how does admitting it make any bit of difference? Pretty sure most shit bands don't go around acknowledging their shittiness.

actually, I would like answer again with a no. "Abject maturity" is obviously not something I'd care for either (look at me im digging korn). There's some middle ground though.
