i would start with sung tongs (opinion) only because it's not as good and if you hear this you probably wont think any other AC release can match its brilliance (except for maybe prospect hummer).

MTV News recently did a piece on this band and John Norris called this their most accessible album (though plenty of people have, it was just the first thing I thought of.)

Sung Tongs is a good album to start with too I guess. This Message Edited On 08.31.07

Did You See The Words rules. The farthest I've gotten without getting irritated is Bees, so I'll see how this turns out for me.

yeah,

Bees is kind of a turning point for the album; most everything after it (besides Turn Into Something) is longer and slower. I actually like the second half more I think.

I've purchased and thoroughly enjoy stuff from Panda Bear but still have not invested in anything from animal collective.

Should I start with Feels or Sung Tongs?

I'd go with Feels, it's a lot more diverse than Sung Tongs.

Is it feels or sung tongs that was the one where they had a grand piano put OUT of tune and strung everything else accordingly?

Sung Tongs is acoustic guitars and drums; it's just avey and panda. Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir plays piano here, so I'd assume what you were talking about occurs here (if it's true, anyway.)

Lots of wankery here, a lot more than Panda Bear, but when they decide to stop shitting on everything, they have awesome tracks.

Cut out some of the tracks that do nothing at all but noodle and drone and this is classic.

yeah this is prob now my second favorite album, I'd say Strawberry Jam is my favorite and in my opinion their best album, but Feels is most certainly their most beautiful album.
