You know, I've been thinking, maybe Four Year Strong are just pulling off the world's biggest troll. They dupe everyone with the pointless "Explains It All", then turn around and make an awesome album. Maybe they wanted to push the fans to their limits again, then hook them back in with another awesome album. It worked once, so why not again?

First of all, that was intended to be a joke. And I don't like this album cause I'm not to big on this kind of music. I understand that bands change sound and that's great. Just in this instance, it personally didn't work for me. I still consider myself a Four Year Strong fan, I just don't like this album

lol @ andcas trying to start shit. When people started to dislike Metallica for churning out shit did that make them fairweather fans? No, it made them sensible people. Granted this is not nearly as extreme, but still. The whole 'fairweather' thing doesn't really apply to music.

They're still bringing the same energy they always have, they've just dropped part of their sound that was immature, which a band can't hold on to forever. To me this is them maturing nicely; this record still rocks hard, just more rock, less pop-punk.

It mirrors my original thoughts. I was disappointed and 'Just Drive' as the first single... i'm still not sure what that was about.



That all said, the albums a grower. 3rd listen now and my rating has gone from 2.5 to 3 to 3.5.

Yeah, these guys aren't sell outs. They're doing what they want, right? Even in knowing that they'd lose a lot of their fans.



Either way, I liked Stuck in the Middle and Falling On You for what they were. But most of the rest of the album is too boring.
