what is this "the wave" I keep hearing about? I don't really get how this is related to La Dispute at all but apparently they're part of the same scene?

I guess it refers to a new wave of screamo/post hardcore that includes PBTT and contemporaries (LD, TA, etc). I don't care for the term.

The wave is just a term for La Dispute, PBTT, Touche Amore, Make Do and Mend, and Defeater because they're all a part of this growing scene in hardcore/post hardcore and they're all friends that tour and release splits and tour with each other



But musically they're really nothing alike
