I can't think of any band off the top of my head that their later works surpassed their earliest works. Their best work is always one of the first 1-3 albums. Metallica, Slayer, Deicide, 311, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, I mean the list goes on and on man.
Undertow and Aenima are Tool's best albums!

I definitely consider 10,000 Days their worst. While I loved Lateralus, they got far too carried away with all the ambient type stuff they started incorporating. There's hardly any real music on the damn thing when it all comes down to it.
