I haven't heard the whole album yet, but I can imagine I'll agree with the sentiment 100%. I know their lyrics are pretty poor and their music isn't ground-breaking but I like them a lot. I think its important to have bands that you can just enjoy on a more superficial level without having to worry about how 'good' they are.

Well said mitch. Most will scoff at the word "important" in your statement, but in a way, I think it is. Especially froma reviewer's pov, it sort of keeps us grounded.

Sweet review. I really, really liked this band's first album when it came out at the time, I remember thinking it was just fantastic, haven't listened to it in awhile though. Guess I'll have to check this out too.

The thing is, I don't think it's forced posturing in this case. I just think they're having fun & doing what they do well.
xfearbefore, their debut was a little more indie & diverse than their next 2, so just be aware of that.
Adam, I may not be the best one to answer your question as I always though Rock'n'Roll Queen was over-rated. In fact, that song did remind me of Jet. Fun live song though.

Good review, DaveyBoy! I like the direction you took with this review.
One thing I noticed, the sentence where you said "Reaching its peak when the energy and tempo is turned to eleven" reads a bit awkwardly, the tempo part. I think it's because tempos are numbers, and 11 as a tempo would be quite slow, which is the opposite of what you were going for lol. :]
maybe i'm reading too much into it- regardless, nice job!
