Good. I'm generous by nature. Nevermind my average rating is prolly lower than yours.

This is quite a strong album. I can't say I dislike any of the songs on here tbh.

i love silhouettes, i still listen to it. this one just didn't grab me like silhouettes did. maybe its the vocals, or it's lack of punch or production. it's in no way a bad album though.

I had a feeling that some people wouldn't like the lighter tone of this album. I sort of dig it. It gives it a more alternative vibe. Some songs on here even remind of Karnivool. If you want a more abrasive album with the same vocalist, check out CiLiCe.

I very much dislike the vocals on this, cant put my finger on it really, I just dont like it. The cleans sound as if they belong on a Three days grace album or something. Plus some of the melodies are really cheesy.

Ha. Bummer. Sputnik is too harsh on this album. On rym, for now it has a very similar rating to their previous one.

Was anticipating this so much seeing as I really dug Daniel's voice in CiLiCe. Total letdown. He sounds very out of place and it sounds like every instrument bar the drums have taken a massive step back. Textures sound like an uninspired version of Karnivool during softer passages and like just another mathy band during heavy sections now. Rivals Opeth for biggest disappoint this year.

Seeing this band in October with a few other bands and given a new singer and album I'm quite curious to hear them...as long as they play Awake ;)

Awake love never ends

but they have better songs like "Old Days Born Anew" or some minor diamonds from the first 2 albums

@zuzek: I bet it may grow on you man. The album definitely needs some time to digest. The only thing I can agree on is that Daniel was better with CiLiCe. And yeah, they sound a bit like Karnivool at times.

awww zuzek gave this a 3 even if he knows his Textures well, based on both his quality review and his 4/5 rating for Silhouettes. Well, as I did for the surprisingly good new Opeth, let's take the risk with Dualism.

It's still pretty low I reckon. Anyways, it's worth checking out unlike the new Opeth album.

The cover is certainly one of the best of the year.

^ Not this thread Jethro. Opeth have very little in common with these guys. ;)
