I don't see why it would be odd to say that, as Slipknot is nu-metal.

The real term for Nu-Metal is New Urban metal, and though Slipknot's first album had that heavy rap influence, they tehcnically don't deserve the term of Nu-Metal, like most bands with the title don't.

Cradle of filth isn't black metal, haha. They haven't played that since their first album over ten years ago.
Still damn good metal though. I love the guitar/keyboard work.

They technically never left those roots, but they've been extremly experimental on their styles since the beginning. I don't think just calling them Gothic Metal quiet satisfies the music that is COF.

Cradle of Filth = Gothic Metal
There shall be no further discussion on this. And please, no one bring up Slipknot in here again.
|
| |
COF = high gothic metal standards but never left their Black Metal roots. Considering what most is Gothic Metal now, COF doesn't necissarily belong.
|
| |
Real Goth Metal is dead. Darkwave and gothic doom are the remnants.

Thor, does your version of Live Bait not have Disc 2 (i.e. the one with Born in a Burial Gown and the dance remix of Cradle To Enslave)?

God, I want this sooo bad. I saw the live version of "Queen of Winter, Throned", and fell in love.

Dani sounds like a mad man on this live album. Good thing is, after about 2 years of a horrible voice, he finally got his high pitched shriek back just in time for the new album.

Musically, a good live show but it's bogged down by Dani's horrible vocals. He's gotten much better over the years, admittedly, but they should have waited a few more years before releasing a live record.

Average for this is bullshit. Killer live album. Cradle has always done great live albums tbh, especially early on.
