The Devil and God is one of my favorite albums, but I can't bring myself to truly enjoy this. I guess it's just too "hardcore" and the lyrics just aren't good enough when compared to The Devil and God.

Very, very nice review. I also love the ugliness and in-your-faceness of this record. Several songs are a bit sub par, even solely in the context of the album, so I wouldn't give this a 5, and I don't quite get your argumentation at some points, but it was a great read.
Staff should write more reviews of their favorites, seriously.

What does this sound like? I love The Devil and God and Deja Entendu but people seem to be drawn away from this record.
