Yeah Detroit is the one city that never fails to keep me confident in my own city's ability to avoid being number one on the "worst of..." lists. except they do have those cool motor city commercials...

yeah, last year me and a couple of friends went too far west on harper avenue. nothing like being the only white guys in a five mile radius.

The Lions looked fantastic against a really bad team in the preseason. I'll be a believer once
Stafford's arm doesn't fall off after 4 games.
And my basketball teammate's mom was in charge of those commercials. I'll let her know that she has
fans in other states.

review is awesome man, enjoyed reading it.

the roots were the first hip-hop group i got into, helped me bridge that gap to listening to more hip-hop from all the rock i listened to growing up, im pretty sure it applies to plenty of people

Great review, the only thing that bothers me is that you seem to be saying that the Roots' target audience are young black people when at least 80% of their audience is composed of white suburban people.

Very well written and interesting otherwise, so I pos'd.

Oh, and the Roots are the best Hip-Hop group ever.

I know that mostly white people listen to the roots, but i imagine that they still aren't the band's primary target when they write songs

and thanks, appreciated as always!
