Shadowremains: Missed that comment about you hating my second paragraph. Please elaborate, because saying it is atrocious...well it isn't the most helpful comment I have to say lol

Well it has to be said that this is certainly Morbid Angel's most experimental release to date, choosing not to recreate their early releases by recording in a cave ( Altars Of Madness is a fantastic album but production wise is lacking) for a more cleanly produced work, which has not set well with those extreme metal kvltists.

Plz listen to Altars and their other earlier albums again...

This has CERTAINLY not gone down well with the elitists as it is utterly wrong to venture away from their original formula obviously! To those said elitists who are bound to scream blue murder and troll away right now it has to be said that it is now and again good to see bands leave their comfort zone and try new things out; and besides its no worse than the change of pace Linkin Park recently attempted!

You're just repeating yourself over and over again, and name dropping Linkin Park in this = lol

the best way by defending your opinion is by backing up your opinion with facts about the music, as opposed to wasting your time with people's opinions that obviously disagree. focus on your own opinion and the music as opposed to paragraphs dedicated to 'haters'. :]

ShadowRemains: At risk of sounding like a prick or just stupid I don't really see what you are getting at. I don't see any repetition other than a slight bit which is needed. And I have heard the previous albums and I really liked Altar of Madness, but it does have a less clean production than illud...as many debuts do. I reacted in this way because this is the way I have seen people react to it.

In the case of Linkin Park yeah I'll give you that, was just an example me and a mate were having a debate about lol, so sorry to mention them in a Morbid Angel review lol. I do appreciate the feedback though mate :]

Well no shit Altars had worse production than this, it was made in like 1989. Even so, the production wasn't bad.

DarkNoctus: Fair enough mate, I will take your comments on board dude. I don't think I overlooked my own take on the actual music and I did go into a lot of time to talk about that, but I do think the reaction to the album has been a massive factor that couldn't be ignored in the first place. Sorry if you didn't like how I went about it though, but this is how I felt it needed to be expressed.

Hawks: Yeah I got that lol! Still not as clean as this one which was what I was getting at. I hardly said it had a shit production, just not as good as maybe it could have been or that this is lol.

Exclamation marks are like laughing at your own jokes
Try to avoid them in the future

well your review isn't horrible but i think you should just leave the whole "haters" facade out of your future reviews (and this one preferably) because it doesn't paint you in a good light. :]

Trebor17: Really? Are they not liked that much? I thought it was a valid way to show emphasis?

Sorry If I come across as a dick btw just want to clarify mate, just not heard people hate the use of them that's all.

DarkNoctus: Fair enough mate I'll bear that in mind and thanks for the feedback. I felt this had to be a somewhat confrontational review for this particular album because response to it has been confrontational, I don't think you can escape that. But I do appreciate your feedback and I will take into consideration mate, thanks again :]

Radikult is hilarious. For all the wrong reasons. Still, I have lost all respect for Mikael Akerfeldt after he came out and said this was GOOD! Makes me worry for the new Opeth album

Darkvoid67: I really wouldn't worry about the new Opeth release, there is no way in hell he is going to make a poor album.
