'Loving the Alien' and 'Blue Jean' is about all this has to offer. What's with the horrible versions of the Iggy tunes?!

'God Only Knows' is one of his worst covers - makes 'Try Some Buy Some' off Reality look masterful f'ck

Only song I know on here is Blue Jean and it's pretty great actually. On par with Modern Love (my favorite song from Let's Dance) for dancey pop Bowie

Might honestly check this soonish.

Loving the Alien is a classic agreed but it's a steep drop off after that

"Might honestly check this soonish."

its deffs a good ol' cheesy time if you arent like doofus and listen to literally no good bands ever yet somehow manage to take your life seriously even though you contribute absolutely nothing worthwhile to the universe other than shamefully counterintuitive support to painfully alternative music that should have gone extinct a decade ago

"Pots can you honestly say you enjoy the cover of 'God Only Knows'"

depends, ironically yes, its UBER sentimental, great fun

non-ironically as in like would i ever seriously listen to it and feel serious feelings to it? no.

"I have not, I'll probably check it after I listen to Tonight"

honestly the best thing besides Loving The Alien/Tumble and Twirl to come from Tonight.

Speaking of good ol' cheesy time, you probably like Never Let Me Down, right taters?

I mean I like alternative music so I don't know Pots.

Also, I just checked the "God Only Knows" cover out of morbid curiosity and honestly: It's obviously nowhere near as good as the Beach Boys version, but what's actually wrong with it? It's boring at worst, no cringe here.

yeah I'm not so good listening to stuff like that ironically

ironically falls under the umbrella of novelty and that means the appeal wears off...and that means limited repeat play value

@fripp let me put it this way, if it came out in the 80's i either like it or pretend i like it

does it really matter how sincere it is? the lines begin to blur.

All that means is that Potsy likes Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps) which is a fantastic album : )

"It's boring at worst"

the emotion that was present in the original is pretty much sapped on this one

if you want cringe/cheese-fest, the title track is a duet with Tina Turner reeeal good stuff

@doofus novelty does not inherently 'wear off' or else the term 'the novelty wore off' would be redundant. some times it does but like

peep any of tears for fears greatest hits ever for instance

most novel music ever

will never wear off.
