It's a great version of it, and I never even knew it was a cover until reading this review and looking at the track listing.

I'm going to be in the dark for the next 6 albums until "Heathen". Well I know the Single I'm Afraid of Americans of course but other than that.

I'm not as familiar with the rest of his stuff either, so it's gonna be a challenge for the both of us.

depends on the type of 80s Pop

This album annoys the living shit out of me at times.

Title track is prime though.

album is so underrated. modern love, china girl, then let's dance is such an unbelievably good trio to start off the album

Yeah it kinda does nothing here is top tier Bowie, Ricochet and Criminal World are actually pretty shite, but some good tunes

That's just first impression though

i've only heard radio edits cos everything is extended from what I recall. additional guitar/sax parts popping up everywhere.

but it's nice to hear 80s pop where a drum kit sounds like a drum kit and not a deranged guy smashing wooden pallettes in a massive warehouse

Yeah the instrumentals on this album are fantastic its just the songwriting lets it down a lot

title track seems a rare case where the 3+ minutes cut in the radio edit actually benefits it.
