I think When Forever Comes Crashing is the most overlooked Converge album, then Petitioning the Empty Sky. No one cares about Halo in a Haystack though (and with good reason).

I need to give this album another listen.The first couple play-through's nothing really stood out aside from Last Light,Black Cloud,You Fail Me,In Her Shadow, and Eagles Become Vultures.

When it comes to this stuff I admittedly tend to judge books by their cover. I instantly kind of assume it's going to be some screamo bull shit I have no interest in hearing... I know its wrong... stop staring.

Sometimes I really wish they would go back to this sound. This album has some of their best songs in Last Light and Eagles Become Vultures.

Jake's vocals on 'Eagles Become Vultures' are phenomenal. Probably his best non-Jane Doe stuff. I never know what to rate this album as a whole, though.
