couldn't listen to more than the first 3 songs without stopping.
all sounded similar and obnoxiously terrible. I have to give them credit for at least thinking outside the box a litte.

Weird how the band can be good and terrible in the same song.

an "ok" album does NOT constitute a 5 rating.

i actually checked this out and was actually impressed that her singing improved a good amount and there were some catchy singing parts. She still sounds like she's screaming through a P.A. system or a filter though which does get a little old but other than that i can say this album pretty solid. Especially, if you compare to their last album which i couldn't stand at all.

was this album recorded inside of a GIANT tin can? And she uses so much god damn distortion on her screaming that it's ridiculous. Her singing got much better though. I like the song about the dogs voices but that's about it. it's crazy that this band is actually extremely predictable. the guitarists are really great on this though.
I saw them live a couple months ago and the screamer from In Fear and Faith jumped on stage and started screaming with her mic w/ all the effects on it. Since he can actually scream well with no effects, her special mic made him so loud that i couldn't even hear the guitars

I've seen them live as well, and she really doesn't rely all that heavily on filters.. Yeah she uses a lot of them on the album, but she actually can scream without them. I was right up front, and she did the whole thing where someone will be be talking and then have it go into a scream for dramatic effect, and without even really screaming into the mic at all, she sounded just fine. Someone liking a specific filter or sound on their voice doesn't make them bad... how many people do you see hating on CoF for it in the metal community? Yeah, because those are obviously Dani's unedited vocals, right? Exactly. Some vocalists just have preferences on different filters for their voice, just as some guitarists like to use a wah pedal, or delay, or a distortion pedal more than others. It doesn't mean they're not talented without said filters, it just means that's their style.
By the way, anyone who rates an album without listening to it is just fucking retarded. Not going into it any more than this, it just makes no sense. That's like saying "Man, that restaurant totally burnt my food" when you're still in the car on the way to the restaurant. Just stupid.

My download of this was just "The Bird is the Word" over and over again. Fucking lol. Probably for the best.

I've seen them live 3 times and there are no filters. The band has even stressed many times that it is all Krysta. Live it is all her. Singing and screaming. But, haters will hate.
They are good at what they do. They are not breaking any records or anything, but they definitely bring something new to the table as far as heavy music is concerned. I can't say I have heard anything like some of the material they have put out, or the way the guitars are played.
