Rudderless remains Dando's best song IMO. But this whole album is stunning. My Drug Buddy and Bit Part are two of the best songs of the 90s alternative movement.
God damn I love this album. So overlooked.

This was bloody massive back in the day. Fallen by the wayside now, never gets a mention anywhere.

Ship without a rudder’s like a ship without a rudder like a ship without a rudder.

This band is very underrated for the 90s alternative scene. Someone said that Evan Dando looks like the TikTok star “Onlyjayus”.

Listened to this on a rec from a friend having not really heard of them before (though I later realized I had heard that "Mrs. Robinson" cover previously). Decent little album, nice and short though like a lot of albums from other moderately commercially successful alt rock bands of the same era I feel like most of the best tunecraft is packed early in the album (and the singles happen to be the best tunes by a pretty decent margin, with the exception of "Rudderless" and "Hannah and Gabi"). Bit surprised by the fairly high average but I can understand there being some nostalgia for this and it's certainly very listenable.
