I think this album shows he was experienced prior to even making this. It's still pretty mind blowing that only two years later he releases something so bizarre and mind blowing even if it's only one great track (the rest were good to okay).

Listening to this now—it’s not the complete embarrassment I thought it was, but it’s not exactly great either.

Pretty cool for a children's-reminiscent music debut. Gets too much hate in my opinion.

I really do like Little Bombardier. Of course, this album is way off from what was to come but it's not THAT bad.

I used to have a lot of this on a "import" called Gigantes Del Pop, sold in most cut out bins circa 1983 apparently cashing in on the David Bowie craze of summer 1983, Let's Dance the album from the man who wanted to, and kind of did "rule the world" for a few months there. Some of it I kind of like and still remember 32 years later... "Gospel According To Tony Day"... well, okay, "like" is not the word here. I appreciate this the way I do some early Beatles and Stones same simple craftsmanship of youth.

His writing and singing is so totally British throughout the whole album.

" paedophilia"
woke. I am pretty sure those claims have been debunked.

This really proves his love for Syd Barrett. It also sounds like a less effective George Formby though... I can see why he wanted this erased from history.
